The Baltic Research Programme's Mid-term conference (Collaborative Experiences: Shaping The Research Future) was held from 18.10.-19.10. The PerDiRe (Integrated model for personalized diabetic retinopathy screening and monitoring using risk-stratification and automated AI-based fundus image analysis) project was presented at the conference.

18.10. the project was defended with its presentation by the representatives of the LV partner (promoter) Jeļizaveta Sokolovska, Dace Pētersone and Beate Pēterfelde, which took place during the project visits at the Nature House of the University of Latvia, Jelgavas Street 1.

On 19.10. Mia Karabeg and Goran Petrovski from the University of Oslo, Norway (representatives of the project's donor institution) shared their experience of cooperation with the Baltic States at the plenary session of the conference.

After the plenary session, representatives of PerDiRe project participated in the panel discussion "Healthy individuals in the healthy society", discussing possible directions in the development of the Baltic research program in order to maintain and improve the cooperation established during the implementation of the program's projects and ensure its sustainability.
